The Beginning
The Rural Lorain County Democratic Precinct Association, the Rural Dems, was started by Dara Adkison during the 2020-2021 election cycle to help Rural Democrats get a seat at the table with countywide organizers and provide an opportunity for community with like minded neighbors. The goals of the RLCDPA are:
To help people to feel supported in their political views as Democrats in Lorain county.
To provide volunteer opportunities, including community activities and fundraising for both our organization and the candidates that Democrats support.
To spread awareness about Ohio Democrats and issues facing Ohioans with regular meetings, community involvement and a social media presence.
